In January 2007 as a result of several brainstorming sessions, Theresa Myers Postan saw a great opportunity and started Bookkeepers of Houston. With over two decades in dealing with record keeping practices and managing diverse enterprises, she decided the time was ripe to concentrate all her efforts in a Bookkeeping firm that was "more than just a data input process"
As the first month in business grew a steady clientele, Theresa's also expanded services that were time savers to her customers. Not only bookkeeping was fun to do with QuickBooks ( and putting the clients under control ) but also helping them with money saving tactics, accelerating pay-offs, servicing their banking, invoicing and checking needs, and "sanitizing charts of accounts" left by previous inexperienced practitioners.
Detecting and reporting "trouble spots" became a way to say "We are paying attention to detail" we care about your interests. Many current clients appreciate that talent!

Whitney Postan
is the Executive Assistant to
Bookkeepers of America.
She came to the company at the first part of 2007.
A graduate from Westside High School, she's currently enrolled in her second year at Houston Community College ( HCC ) studying business administration with an emphasis in accounting. In January 2009, Whitney become a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor - 2009
Her working past experience was at H.E.B. supermarkets in West Houston as a cash register checker for over one year. She also worked at Texas Children's Hospital in Developmental Pediatrics as a summer internship in the Hospital Administration Department.
Whitney is growing fast with Bookkeepers of America and mastering programs like Excel, Word, Outlook, TurboTax and QuickBooks Pro and PeachTree.
